2004 Hall of FameWinner Jim Boland with brother Tom. Jim
starred at centre back on the Clonmore minor team which won the Minor Championship
in 1963 captained by Tom. Unfortunately that game was lost on an objection.
Jim went on to play in the Senior County Final in 1963 and League Final
in 1965. Along with Tom he was a mainstay of the Clonmore team throughout
the 1960s. When his playing days were over, Jim joined the Committee and
has been Joint Treasurer of the Club for nearly 20 years.
Tom Boland won the Hall of Fame Award in 1999 after a long and distinguished
career for Clonmore and Carlow. Tom was an outstanding footballer with
great hands and a trusty left foot. He played centre field or full back
and was at full-back when Clonmore won the Intermediate Championship in
1980. Tom has also continued his involvement with the club since he finished
playing and has served as a Selector with the Senior team.

of service to the G.A.A. as a player and administrator. JJ was a founder

which brought the first title to Clonmore. He served as Secretary of Clonmore
GFC for 27 years from 1948 - 1975 and was Chairman of the club in 1979
and from 1983-1985.
JJ also served as a selector on the County Senior team
for 10 years from 50s to early 60s, including 1954 when Carlow played Mayo
in NFL Final in Croke Park and served in various capacities with the Carlow
County Board and Bord na nOg over a long number of years.
