Des Kelly receives the Hall of Fame Award from club President, John J Doyle. Des played at every level for Clonmore from the sixties to the mid eighties. In between he won two SFL Division 2 medals and was a key member of the 1980 Intermediate Championship winning team. A stylish forward, Des was accurate with left and right boot and his outstanding free-taking won many a game, none more so than the 1980 final when his personal tally of 0-6 out of Clonmore’s total of 0-10 proved to be a match winning performance. Congratulations to Des on a richly deserved award.
