1980 Selectors: Mona O’Toole (representing her late husband Sean), Tom Doyle and Frances Connolly (for her late father Mick). The other selector with the 1980 team was the late Jack Byrne.

The surviving members of the Carlow teams of 1944 (Leinster Champions) and 1954 (National League Finalists) were honoured by Carlow County Board in October 2004 with a function in the Dolmen Hotel. Micheál O’Muircheartaigh was MC of a very enjoyable evening. Clonmore players on the 1954 team were Pakes Connolly RIP, Martin Molloy, Jim Fogarty and Denis Cullen. John J Doyle was a Selector on the team
